01 / A DIFFERENT WAY TO TOUR

A complete soccer experience
Without a full team

Your club has the players. You don’t always have a full touring squad. Global United gives selected players the chance to experience soccer in England, without you having to take on the work of organising a complete team tour.

  1. 01

    Nominate

Your club identifies players with the playing standard, character and readiness required for the programme in England.

  2. 02

    Assemble

We work with the club and nominated families as the squad takes shape: answering questions and offering places where the programme is the right fit.

  3. 03

    Prepare

Once a place is confirmed, families receive clear information on travel, welfare and programme expectations through their partner club.

  4. 04

    Compete

Players meet at Haileybury, build their identity as a squad and represent Global United against English academy opposition.

02 / THE SOCCER EXPERIENCE

Train with purpose.
Play for each other.

TECHNICAL DIRECTION

A clear framework. Demanding standards.

Experienced English academy coaches work directly with the squad throughout the week. Tom Statham leads the technical direction of Global United, shaping how the team trains, how sessions are delivered and how players are prepared to perform.

The Global United
Playing Model

One shared approach

Training, football education and match preparation are built around the same clear ideas.

Clarity

A simple framework and shared language.

Intensity

Standards that reflect the demands of competition.

Creativity

Confidence to solve problems within the team.

Understanding

Clear roles, relationships and better decisions.

THE IDEA IN ACTION / 2026

Five US states.
One team by the end of the week.

In 2026, selected players from five US states came together in England as one squad. They played Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Southampton, Leyton Orient and Stevenage. That experience became the foundation for Global United in 2027.

03 / 2027 PROGRAMS

Choose the right test
for their age and stage.

05 / FOR PLAYERS & FAMILIES

Clear routines. Familiar faces.
Someone to turn to.

Players can attend without a parent or family chaperone. Specialist Soccer staff lead the programme and oversee the group throughout the stay. Partner clubs may also nominate a coach or chaperone to stay on site and assist the group.

Residential support

A dedicated head of house and assistant stay with the players and take responsibility for their welfare, supported by the wider programme team.

Prepared before arrival

Medical, dietary, medication and additional support information is collected so staff can plan responsibly.

A managed routine

Meals, football, recovery, activities, downtime and curfews create a clear shape to each day.

SQUAD SELECTION

From club nomination
to confirmed place

Specialist Soccer considers playing level, position, character and residential readiness alongside the needs of the developing squad before making formal offers.

  1. 01

    Your club nominates

Your club identifies players whose football, character and readiness fit the programme.

  2. 02

    Nomination reviewed and place offered

We consider the player alongside what the developing squad needs as a whole before making a formal offer.

  3. 03

    Questions and next steps

We engage with the family, answer questions and make sure the programme, expectations and next steps are understood.

  4. 04

    The place is confirmed

A $265 deposit secures the formally offered place. From there, we guide each family through travel, welfare and preparations for their trip to England.
